Your Eye: On Photography
Your Eye: On Photography
In her essay on photography, award-winning author Alix Hawley explores the evolution of a pastime she’s enjoyed since childhood. Over eight small sections, she meditates on representation, portraiture, memory, and the delight of everyday scenes. Interspersed with photographs from her Instagram feed, Hawley’s essay reflects the strangeness of seeing—and the impulse to share our views with others.
This chapbook is a hand-made, limited edition publication. Only 100 have been bound. Each is twenty-four pages in length, and features seven interior black and white images.
